IPChain Association and Kyrgyzpatent will work together on trust infrastructure
At the International Strategic Forum on Intellectual Property IPQuorum 2018, a cooperation agreement was signed between Kyrgyzpatent (State Service of Intellectual Property and Innovation under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic) and IPChain Association (National Coordination Center for Processing Transactions with Rights and Objects of Intellectual Property). Kyrgyzpatent joins the IPChain innovation project, a digital platform for creating a networked “trust infrastructure” in the field of intellectual property (IP). It was noted at the press briefing that this stresses the “cross-border nature” of the new technology and its relevance not only in Russia.
Dosaly Esenaliyev, the Chairman of Kyrgyzpatent, noted that the government of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced a large program to introduce the digital economy. “Our agency is taking its first steps in this direction, and in a short period of time we were able to achieve significant success with the assistance of IPChain Association.”
Andrey Krichevskiy, President of IPChain Association, stressed that this is the first international level agreement for the Association and it concerns a wide range of tasks, “Kyrgyzpatent and the government of the Republic as a whole are showing great interest in new technologies and are actively moving towards digitalization. We plan to digitize the patent archives of Kyrgyzpatent on the basis of the standards and algorithms developed by our Association and to cooperate in the field of copyright and neighbouring rights management. The results of digitization will be further processed with the use of artificial intelligence for the organization of patent search and creation of technology assembly service.”
