ANPCI
Activity
National Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property, ANPCI was registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova on April 29, 2011. The aim of ANPCI is to improve the quality of life of the rightholders, an increase of copyright fees and the fight against piracy.
The activities of ANPCI are based on the Law №139 “On copyright and related rights” adopted on July 2, 2010 by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. This law was adopted within the framework of the agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova. The new law brought the legislation of the Republic of Moldova as close as possible to the European legislation and international agreements in the field of copyright.
As of January 1, 2019, 195 rights holders of the Republic of Moldova are members of ANPCI. There are 30 international agreements with foreign CMOs.
ANPCI represents all categories of copyright – authors, performers and producers of phonograms on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
