MESAM, MUSICAL WORK OWNERS’ SOCIETY OF TURKEY founded in 1986,is a member of CISAC (International Confederation of Authors’ Rights Societies) and BIEM (International Bureau of Mechanical Rights Society), has around 10.000 local members (author, composer, arranger, 10publisher) and have signed reciprocal and bilateral representation agreements with 80 performing rights societies covering 170 territories. In summary, MESAM protects over 90 million local and foreign musical works for performing and mechanical rights in Turkey.

MESAM aims to manage and follow-up the rights transferred with the certificate of authorization by authors and by real and legal persons who are authorized to use the financial rights, which have been assigned by Law no.5846 and to ensure collection of the royalties and compensations and distribution of them to the right owners.
