Russia and Kazakhstan strengthen cultural cooperation
Russia and Kazakhstan are interested in building up bilateral cultural and humanitarian cooperation, the parties said at an official meeting on the eve of the opening of the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Russia.
The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alla Manilova and the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aktota Raimkulova.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of joint events for next year. The Ministry of Culture offered to consider the possibility of organizing in 2020 events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII), in particular in museums.
In turn, the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan focused on the need to conduct contests of folk bands, theatrical master classes, and seminars. The Head of the agency also invited Russian artists to take part in the International Festivals “Astana Piano Passion” and “The Spirit of Tengri”.
In addition, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan addressed organizational issues related to the Days of Russia in Kazakhstan (October 7-11, Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Karaganda).
On the eve of the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Russia, a meeting with participation of Deputy Minister of Culture Pavel Stepanov and Aktotа Ramkulova took place. As a result of negotiations, it was decided to hold the first meeting of the Subcommittee on Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation of the Russian-Kazakh Intergovernmental Commission on October 7 as part of the opening of the Days of Russia in Kazakhstan. Special attention was paid to discussing the possibilities of building up Russian-Kazakh cooperation in the field of cinematography.
