Russia and China will expand the bilateral program of translation and publication of up to 100 works of Russian and Chinese classical and contemporary literature, by including humanitarian books and dramatic works, said Vladimir Grigoryev, Deputy Head of the Federal Press and Mass Media Agency.

According to him, earlier the countries focused on fiction, now the list will be replenished with dramaturgy, philosophy, and history, including contemporary authors.

As explained by Zhang Hongbo, CEO at China Written Works Copyright Society (CWWCS), currently, the parties have published 93 books, and it was initially planned to translate and print fifty volumes by each party.

The Confederation of Rightholders’ Societies of Europe and Asia (CRSEA) is in active cooperation with China. In April of this year, China Written Works Copyright Society (CWWCS) joined the Association.
