CRSEA Presidium member takes part in the jury of the musical contest «Songs of the War»

Confederation of Rightholders’ Societies of Europe and Asia (CRSEA) is a partner of the vocal competition «Songs of the War» deals with the 75th anniversary of the Great War and the end of the World War II. The event is organized by the National Foundation for Support of Rightholders.

Singer, producer, author, CRSEA Presidium member Irina Vidova-Molchan takes part in the jury of the musical contest.

Wartime songs are in the heart of every person, they are also part of the Great War. Members of every family respect the history of the Great Patriotic War and practically all events and memorable dates are not to be without singing such songs as «Dark Is the Night», «Smuglyanka», «The tanks were rattling like a thunder», «Siniy Platochek» and many other national-loved songs.

Irina Vidova-Molchan said that the first song that she sang in childhood was «Katyusha». This choise was logical for the family that respect ancestors and narrate main historical events by word to mouth. «I listen wartime songs from my childhood not only because my father is the military but also because my parents are war children. The victory and feat of arms are not only the history facts but also the event that gave them a chance for life. In my childhood everybody were very passionate about wartime songs and my favorite song was ″ Katyusha″».
It`s impossible to compare wartime songs with other songs, their unicity depends not only on musical characteristics. «Wartime songs are very soulful and strong because they were created in tragic and at the same time heroical years», she noticed.
The aim of vocal competition «Songs of the War» is to take the interest in wartime songs, history, event that were the base of creation and find new talented singers.
The vocal competition «Songs of the War» lasts until the December 5th, 2020. Everybody who want to apply for participation at the competition must send video record of his or her singing via the special form on the web site of the competition песни-победы.рф.
All works will be rated by professional and public jury that consists of:
• Vladimir Presnyakov-senior – composer, saxophonist, Honoured artist of the Russian Federation;
• Mariam Merabova – singer, artist, television presenter, finalist of the popular show «Voice» and «Three chords»;
• Lyubov Kazarnovskaya – opera singer, doctor of musical arts, professor;
• Irina Gerasimova – general director and artistic director of Russian State Musical TV and Radio Center, Academician of Russian Academy of Radio, Honored Cultural worker of the Russian Federation;
• Natalya Ignatenko – general director of the Charitable Foundation for the Support of Musical Art «Elena Obraztsova Foundation»;
• Maria Oparina – general director of the First Music Publishing LLC;
• Alla Bogoslovskaya – composer;
• Natalya Petushina– Adviser Director General of the «Firma Melodiya»;
• Petr Vlasov – chief editor of the newspaper «Kultura»;
• Irina Vidova-Molchan – singer, producer, author;
• Yossi Tavor– journalist, musical observer, TV and radio presenter;
• Vadim Breev – Adviser Director General of the National Foundation for Support of Rightholders, Deputy Director General of the Russian Authors’ Society.
Jury will select candidates who can take part in eliminations rounds (tree participants in every round). Results of the contest will be declare on May 9th , 2021. Prize find – 500 thousand rubles.
