Kyrgyzpatent and Korean Intellectual Property Office signed a Memorandum of Understanding

The State Intellectual Property and Innovations Office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzpatent) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The Head of Kyrgyzpatent Dinara Moldosheva and KIPO Commissioner Dr. Park Wonju signed the document. The event was held as part of the visit of the Kyrgyz delegation to Seoul.

The Memorandum provides for exchange of data, information technology, and specific practical knowledge in the field of intellectual property.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular, the possibility of applying Korean experience to automate internal processes of Kyrgyzpatent.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, the Chairman of Kyrgyzpatent invited the Korean side to consider the issue of commercialization of intellectual property in Kyrgyzstan, as well as to develop an interagency plan of joint activities.
