Russia and Kazakhstan signed a program of cooperation in the field of culture

The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a Program of cooperation between the agencies for 2020–2022.

The new cooperation program includes the Days of Russian Culture in Kazakhstan in 2020 and the Days of Kazakhstan Culture in Russia in 2021.

The parties also plan to cooperate in the field of art, to facilitate the establishment of contacts between cultural institutions and specialists, to encourage the mutual participation of Kazakh and Russian artists and groups in international music festivals, competitions, etc.

Special attention is paid to touring theaters, art groups and individual performers, as well as cooperation in the field of cinematography. In particular, Russia and Kazakhstan will facilitate the exchange of the Days of Kazakh and Russian cinema, assist in inviting masters of cinematography of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan to international film festivals that take place in the two countries.
